This includes, elbow & knee strikes, punch's & kicks.
With the added techniques such as grappling and throwing. Competing in any form of full contact should not be taken lightly. If one is not physically or mentally prepared then serious injuries can occur. The Young Lions are comitted to assisting in the preparation of anyone considering stepping into the ring.
Can I compete?
Yes, we are heavily involved in competitive Muay Thai & Kickboxing as both competitors and promoters of top quality events. These include Amateur and Professional full contact events.
Do I have to fight?
No, we have two very strict rules with regards to sparring and competing . The first being you must be trained & fit, the second being you must want to get in the ring and do it. We will not force anyone to do anything that they do not wish to do. All sparring in the Young Lions Training Centre is done under strict supervision and all participants must wear full safety equipment to take part.
NOTE: Fighters who compete must be prepared to commit themselves to hard training because it lessens the chances of anyone getting hurt and allows for the fighter to bounce back when they take a hard shot.
